We All Live in a Watershed

A watershed is specific basin where rain and snowmelt drain into local streams, rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. Bear Creek Watershed extends from Mt. Evans in Clear Creek County to Bear Creek Reservoir in Morrison.  The main streams are Bear Creek and Turkey Creek. Bear Creek Watershed drains into the South Platte River. How we use land and live in our watershed alters its water resources. Bear Creek Watershed Association (BCWA) works to protect and restore water and environmental quality in our watershed in accordance with Colorado stream standards and classifications.
